At Ideal Fostering, children and young people are at the heart of everything we do. Built on strong family values, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, understood and cared for, to build trusting relationships and a sense of belonging. We understand that children who come into foster care may have experienced loss, trauma, disruption or uncertainty.
A Child Focussed Approach
Our approach is child-focused, therapeutic and trauma-informed, recognising each child as an individual with their own experiences, strengths, needs, wishes and identity.
Central to this is finding the right foster family for each child or young person. We take great care when considering matches, looking beyond practical considerations to the relationships, environment and support that will help a child feel secure and thrive.
Our foster carers are supported by an experienced team to provide nurturing, consistent and therapeutic care.
We believe dependable relationships can be transformative, helping children build confidence, resilience and hope for the future.
We work in partnership with local authorities including Birmingham, Walsall, Staffordshire, Sandwell, Telford and Wrekin, Worcestershire, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, Solihull and Coventry, as well as others across the West Midlands.
A Genuine Commitment
We are registered, regulated and inspected by Ofsted, supporting safe, effective and high-quality fostering services. We recruit foster carers who can offer children warmth, stability, empathy and consistency, alongside a safe and nurturing home.
We are proud to be a multicultural team of experienced social workers and support staff, reflecting the diverse communities we serve. We recognise the importance of each child’s culture, heritage, identity and lived experience in helping them feel understood, valued and that they belong.
One Team, One Purpose
Our Management Team brings extensive experience from both Local Authority and independent fostering settings. Our staff undertake ongoing training and development to keep practice current and strengthen their understanding of trauma, attachment and therapeutic care.
Our shared purpose is simple: to provide children and young people with the stability, relationships and support they need to feel secure, fulfil their potential and move towards a positive future.
